Technology is fundamentally transforming the American health system, with the potential to increase equity, access and quality in care. In order for that promise to be fully realized, American policymakers must enact smart policies that protect health and safety while allowing innovators to drive the medical breakthroughs of the future.
CTA advocates for policies that advance the use of technology enabled value-based health care to reduce health care costs and drive better health outcomes like greater broadband access; increased use of telehealth and remote patient monitoring, artificial intelligence/machine learning, digital therapeutics, and other emerging tools; common sense privacy rules; continued push for health data interoperability; and more.
